Make sure your system meets these requirements for optimal streaming performance

For Viewers

Supported Browsers

  • Google Chrome (recommended) - Version 88 or higher
  • Mozilla Firefox - Version 85 or higher
  • Safari - Version 14 or higher
  • Microsoft Edge - Version 88 or higher

Internet Connection

  • For SD quality (480p): 3+ Mbps download speed
  • For HD quality (720p): 5+ Mbps download speed
  • For Full HD quality (1080p): 10+ Mbps download speed

Mobile Requirements

  • iOS 14 or higher
  • Android 9.0 or higher

For Streamers

Computer Specifications

  • CPU: Intel Core i5-4670 or AMD FX-8350 or better (recommended: Intel Core i7 or AMD Ryzen 7 or better)
  • RAM: 8GB minimum (recommended: 16GB or more)
  • GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960 / AMD Radeon R9 280 or better (for hardware encoding)
  • Operating System: Windows 10/11, macOS 10.15 or newer, Ubuntu 20.04 LTS or newer

Internet Connection

  • Upload Speed: Minimum 5 Mbps (recommended: 10+ Mbps for HD streaming)
  • Stable connection with low jitter
  • Wired Ethernet connection recommended over Wi-Fi

Software Requirements

  • OBS Studio 27.0 or higher (recommended)
  • Streamlabs Desktop
  • XSplit Broadcaster

Recommended Equipment

  • Webcam: HD webcam capable of 720p or higher
  • Microphone: USB condenser microphone or headset with noise cancellation
  • Lighting: Basic key light for better visibility

Optimization Tips

  • Close unnecessary applications when streaming
  • Use hardware encoding (NVENC or AMD encoder) when available
  • Start with a lower resolution and bitrate, then increase as your setup allows
  • Ensure your antivirus and firewall are not blocking streaming applications
